Hundreds protest at new European bike law proposals

Hundreds of bikers rode through Peterborough on Sunday (25 September) in a high-profile international protest at proposed new laws on motorbikes.

The European Union is considering introducing a raft of new legislation including one forbidding motorcyclists from making their own modifications to bikes.

Yesterday, about 200 riders set off from Brampton Hut services, near Huntingdon on the A1, arriving at Haddon services at about 1.30pm.
